Job Title: SYSTEM DESIGN ENGINEER - UK
Location: UK

• Analogue and mixed signal system design engineer to help develop its power supply modulator products.
• This role involves taking concepts, turning them into novel architectures, and creating IC specifications that can be designed in Silicon.

EXPERIENCE:

• Strong understanding of control theory
• DC/DC converter design
• Switching Regulators
• Agilient ADS
• Matlab & Simulink
• VerilogA – possibly within a Cadence environment
• Specification for IC design
• The candidate must be ‘system’ creative to develop system architectures to solve complex high speed power modulator problems.
• These architectures then need to be broken down into practicable blocks & specified.
• Specification will have to be achieved in partnership with the IC design team to ensure a realisable solution.
• All aspects of IC design have to be considered in developing the specifications, so previous experiencing in bring complex analog systems through from concept to real silicon is essential.
• System modeling will occur in a variety of tools but top level IC modeling in VerilogA is essential.
• An understanding of RF transmitter design would be an advantage as a number of top level requirements are RF system driven, and the Company’s modulators interface directly with a Tx power amplifier.
